From humble beginnings to the UK’s leading air management company, Mansfield Pollard has come a long way since the small shed in Bradford where it all began in 1866.

Over the years the business has developed into the most recognisable name in air management, synonymous with quality and customer service. As a result, Mansfield Pollard continues to revolutionise the industry – leading the charge for innovation and invention across a number of sectors.

    The company was established by John Mansfield in Specialising in sheet metal, the premises were originally based in a small shed at the Old Paper Hall, Bradford.

    1900

    As Bradford became the woolen textile capital of the world, the company changed course to manufacture drying cylinders for the wool trade.

  • 1932

    On April 4th, 1932 Harry Pollard bought his half of the business for £120 and so the name Mansfield Pollard was born.

    As the wool trade began to decline Gordon Pollard took the reins from his father, keen to expand the business in the emerging sheet metal industry.

    The company made a strategic leap into sub-contract ductwork and manufacturing as legislation relating to building standards began to increase.
