To provide a full ventilation solution for the new banqueting kitchen at one of the most exclusive wedding venues and golf resorts in the north of England. Unique challenges included low ceiling heights, large supporting steel columns & beams and extremely limited plant space.
An extensive central cooking island was required with an airflow rate in excess of 5m³/s. Stringent noise control was necessary with both the 18th tee and wedding reception balcony area being in close proximity to the exhaust point.
A customised total ventilation package was designed and installed to fit around existing services and low ceilings. An external bespoke steelwork frame resolved the issue of limited available plant space and our expert acoustic engineers designed an attenuation system to deal with the critical noise complications.
A partnership approach with both the end user and main contractor was essential to ensure zero kitchen downtime and allow a wedding booked only four days after the planned commissioning date, to go ahead as scheduled.
