Mansfield Pollard’s specialist Kitchen Ventilation team were called upon to design, manufacture, export and install a ‘super’ canopy at a new chilled food production facility in St Petersburg, Russia.

Situated 3.7 metres above finished floor level, the canopy was to run the full length of the facility and due to the required extract volume necessiated a canopy width of over 4 metres. In addition to the remote location and sheer scale of the task, the design had to enhance the canopy’s containment efficiency and minimise operating costs.

The experienced engineering team at Mansfield Pollard designed and manufactured a fully bespoke 32 metre continuous extract and supply canopy. 64 integral baffle filters were required to handle an extract volume in excess of 19m3/s.

The canopy also incorporated an insulated supply air plenum to introduce 3.8m3/s of inboard air through a full length linear slot. A combination of modular and flat pack construction guaranteed an efficient export and fast on-site build.

Over 32 metres in length and 4 metres wide.

Extract volume in excess of 19m3/s.

One company from design to commissioning.

100% on-time & on budget.
