Apprenticeships are the lifeblood of any business, and that is especially true within the manufacturing industry. Here at Mansfield Pollard, we recognise that an apprenticeship is so much more than learning how to do a job or achieve a qualification, it is a chance to make a real difference.

This year, Mansfield Pollard will be taking on more apprentices than ever before. 7 positions are available . Welder Fabricator: Welding and fabrication is a key skill essential for the successful manufacture of all our product range . From CE accredited structural steelwork through to stainless steel commercial kitchen canopy fabrication, as a qualified welder and fabricator you will have the opportunity to work on most of our projects and learn different complex skills.

Electrical controls engineer: From the design, manufacture, installation and commissioning of control systems, our controls engineers impact on all areas of the business. The energy efficiency of all our products relies on controls engineers and the team is integral to most of the projects we undertake.

Apprentice CAD Engineer: Reporting to the Head of CAD, the apprentice CAD engineer will liaise with technical, production and project management teams to produce general arrangement and detailed manufacturing drawings of all products across our air management range. The company are currently adopting 3D design, with Autodesk Inventor using iLogic. Good communications skills, a can-do attitude to problem solving and a methodical approach with attention to detail are essential for this role.

Refrigeration Engineer: Our refrigeration engineers will learn how to design, manufacture, install, commission and maintain a range of refrigeration equipment and systems. A very varied line of work with a significant focus in the rapidly technologically advancing market of data centre cooling.
