Mansfield Pollard are ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certified!

We are pleased to announce that the business was officially certified to ISO 14001:2018 and ISO 45001:2018 earlier this month with UKAS accredited Alcumus. This incredible achievement highlights our commitment to ensuring the highest health, safety and wellbeing practices along with our dedication to sustainability throughout Mansfield Pollard.

The certifications came following an extensive five-day audit which included a review of all our processes, practises, risk averting objectives, improvement programmes and strong leadership qualities, as well as on site visit to our two factories based in Bradford. Quality Manager Vicky Tahany spearheaded the project with large support from Factory Manager Steve Clay.

“To achieve ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 across all of our sites is a huge accomplishment,” said Vicky, “It underpins the efforts we’ve made to improve our approach to sustainability and health and safety. It’s also a true testament to our employees who have worked tirelessly to guarantee the excellent high standards that we’re best known for. This would never have been achieved without their proactive input and cooperation.”

What is ISO 14001?

ISO 14001:2018 is the leading standard for environmental management systems. The purpose of this international standard is to provide a framework that focuses on the protection of the environment, responding to changing environmental conditions in line with socio-economic requirements of the business.

ISO 45001:2018 is the leading standard for occupational health and safety management systems. The purpose of this standard is to enable businesses to provide a safe and healthy working environment by preventing work-related injuries and supporting the wellbeing of our employees, whilst proactively improving and exceeding our H&S obligations.

The process of achieving ISO 45001:2018 focuses heavily on identifying risks and opportunities by assessing potential hazards and making appropriate workplace changes to combat them. Fostering a happy, healthy, and safe working environment is vital in ensuring overall company performance. As a manufacturing company it is especially important that we hold ourselves to the highest possible standards to avoid accidents and injury wherever possible. In addition we provide free private medical health insurance and on site state of the art gym for all employees to increase the wellbeing of all our employees
