Charity Football Match Raises £909
The annual Mansfield Pollard charity football match was held at Horsfall Stadium, home of world famous Bradford Park Avenue on Friday 6th September. Staff were given the opportunity to use their ‘free charity day’ to help raise funds for our chosen charity “One In A Million” www.oiam.org, a Bradford based organisation that engages with children and young people, through Sports, the Arts and Enterprise
Following our single site relocation, this year saw our ex-Parry Lane employees battle it out against Rook Lane.
The game proved to be a one sided affair, with bragging rights going to Rook Lane, managed by Factory Manager Steve Clay, after a 13 goal to 1 demolition. Nigel Goodison, manager for ex-Parry Lane admitted his team had been well beaten, but was already looking forward to next years match up.
This year’s charity raffle raised an impressive £909 – thanks to all our suppliers who generously donated the prizes.
