ISO 9001:2015 is an international standard which outlines a framework for improving quality and a vocabulary of understanding for any organisation looking to provide products and services that consistently meet the requirements and expectations of customers and other relevant interested parties in the most efficient manner possible.

ISO 9001:2015 doesn’t dictate what Mansfield Pollard’s objectives should be or how to achieve them, It’s a flexible standard that allows us to define what our objectives are & adherence to the appropriate standard. ISO 9001:2015 outlines guiding principles that we use to create efficiencies by aligning and streamlining processes throughout the organization, in an effort to bring down costs, create new opportunities, meet regulatory requirements, and help expand into new markets in which clients demand ISO 9001 certification

ISO does not perform certifications to ISO 9001:2015. Instead, Mansfield Pollard engaged Alcumus, an independent UKAS accredited certification body to audit our QMS implementation against the ISO requirements.

The ISO 9001:2015 standard assists Mansfield Pollard to consistently provide products and services that meet our customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, enhance customer satisfaction, ability to demonstrate our conformity to quality management system requirements and Identify the processes needed to achieve the planned results.

Risk Based Thinking is at the core of ISO9001:2015……

Risk-based thinking has a very important place in ISO 9001:2015. MP use risk analysis in order to decide for ourselves which challenges we see in the management of our business processes. To emphasize the importance of this risk-based analysis, the concept of ’risk’ occurs forty-eight times in ISO 9001:2015, compared with only three times in ISO 9001:2008.

The addition of risk-based thinking has made the ‘preventive measures’ of ISO 9001:2008 redundant. These preventive measures no longer appear in ISO 9001:2015. The transition from ‘pre-emptive measures’ to ‘risk-based thinking’ is a smart one, as it acts to analyse situations, and solve potential problems long before they begin to develop.
