The Project

As experts in HTM 03-01 AHU systems, Mansfield Pollard’s engineers were chosen to work alongside Eccleshill ISTC under the Health Technical Memorandum (HTM) which gives comprehensive on the legal requirements, design implications, maintenance and operation of specialised ventilation in healthcare premises providing acute care.

The Solution

A full site survey for the client ensured all the specification requirements were achieved. As a result, Mansfield Pollard increased the longevity and energy efficiency of the AHU’s with the retrofitment of a heat recovery system via run-around coils, upgrading of all fans to EC, and the replacement of heating and cooling coils. In addition to this a full controls package was also installed.

The Highlights

HTM 03-01 Specification: Legal requirements of specialised ventilation in healthcare premises providing acute care

Redundancy Built-In: Providing sufficient airflow in the event of a fan or equipment failure

Increased Energy Efficiency: Improving energy efficiency with a retro-fitment of a heat recovery system and upgrading of all fans to EC

Reduced Maintenance: Latest technology to ensure high energy efficiency and minimal maintenance requirements
